Welcome to the web site for the City of Oxford Society of Model Engineers (COSME), a non-profit making organisation. We are based in Oxfordshire in the UK. We meet regularly throughout the year. Our members have a wide range of interests and experience in many aspects of model engineering. A major activity is operating the Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway (CPMR) within a public park in the City of Oxford. This railway has been built and developed by the voluntary efforts of members of COSME.

The Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway is situated in the public Cutteslowe Park in the north of the City of Oxford just off the A40 Ring Road. Information on our location can be found here

There are two tracks on our railway on which we run passenger carrying trains pulled by steam or diesel locomotives. The elevated track is built to cater for 3½" and 5" gauges and the ground level track is for 5" and 7¼ gauges. More information about the railway can be found here.

CPMR is open to the public between 13.30 and 17.00 on the first, third and fifth Sundays of the month and Bank Holiday Mondays between April and October. In school holidays we are also open on some Wednesdays between 13.00 and 16.30. A full timetable can be found on the calendar or you can download one here. Trains run at frequent intervals throughout the afternoon, subject to availability and suitable weather conditions.

Tickets are £1.25 for adults and children over 2. Children under 2 free accompanied by a fare paying adult. You can also buy 10 tickets for £10 valid indefinitely. Tickets are obtained from the ticket office at the track and you can pay with cash or debit/credit card.
