Work continues on the construction of our new 16mm raised layout within the site grounds, with the support posts now fixed, base boards fitted and felted and we're now ready for track laying. Welcome to COSME and the Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway

Welcome to the web site for the City of Oxford Society of Model Engineers (COSME), a non-profit making organisation. We are based in Oxfordshire in the UK. We meet regularly throughout the year. Our members have a wide range of interests and experience in many aspects of model engineering. A major activity is operating the Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway (CPMR) within a public park in the City of Oxford. This railway has been built and developed by the voluntary efforts of members of COSME.

Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway
​
The Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway is situated in the public Cutteslowe Park in the north of the City of Oxford just off the A40 Ring Road. Information on our location can be found on the location page.
There are two tracks on our railway on which we run passenger carrying trains pulled by steam or diesel locomotives. The elevated track is built to cater for 3½" and 5" gauges and the ground level track is for 7¼" gauge.

Tickets
​
Tickets are £1.50 for adults and children over 2. Children under 2 are free when accompanied by a fare paying adult. A saver ticket (10 rides) is available for £12.50. Tickets are obtained from the ticket office at the track and we prefer you to pay by debit/credit card.

We welcome those with interests in any form of Model Engineering. As well as building and operating the CPMR, members of COSME have a wide variety of interests including traction and stationary engines, rolling stock and steam powered boats. If you are interested in joining, please speak to any member at the track or use our the Contact Us form.
